I
1. The 5th Amadeus Competition (hereinafter named Competition), organised by Accademia Amadeus in cooperation with the Municipality of Lazise, will be held at Dogana Veneta in Lazise (VR), from 4 to 9 Novembre 2025.
II
1. The Competition is open to any pianist who was born after 1990 and meets the requirements described below.
2. The Competition is divided into two sections:
International Amadeus Piano Competition (hereinafter called IAPC), divided into six categories, open to pianists born after 1998;
Premio Amadeus (hereinafter called PA), one category, open to pianists born after 1990.
III
1. The age categories of the International Amadeus Piano Competition (IAPC) and Premio Amadeus (PA) with the related musical programs are the following:
Cat. Prime note: born after 2018; free program of max. 5 min.
Cat. A: born from 2015 to 2017; free program of max. 8 min.
Cat. B: born from 2012 to 2014; free program of max. 12 min.
Cat. C: born from 2008 to 2011; free program of max. 15 min.
Cat. D: born from 2003 to 2007; free program of max. 20 min.
Cat. E: born from 1998 to 2002; free program of max. 25 min.
Premio Amadeus: born after 1990; three rounds:
Preliminary Round
Free program between 15 and 20 min., including one virtuoso etude chosen from those by F. Chopin, F. Liszt, R. Schumann, L. Godowsky, M. Moszkowski, C. Debussy, S. Rachmaninov, A. Scriabin, B. Bartok, S. Prokofiev, I. Stravinsky, G. Ligeti, N. Kapustin
Semifinal Round (max 12 candidates will be admitted)
Free program between 20 and 25 min.
Final Round (5 candidates will be admitted) in the form of recital
Free program between 30 and 35 min., including a major work by F. Chopin chosen from Sonatas, Ballades, Scherzos, Preludes (complete or 1-12 or 13-24), Rondos, Impromptus, Tarantella op.43, Fantasie op.49, Berceuse op.57, Barcarolle op.60, Polonaises (op.22, op. 26, op.40, op.44, op.53, op.61), Mazurkas (a complete set), Nocturnes, Waltzes (op.18, op.34, op.42, op.64, op.69, op.70)
2. Performance by memory is not requested for the categories of IAPC.
3. A candidate of IAPC can apply to a higher category, but not to a lower one.
4. Performances by memory is requested for PA for which it is not allowed to repeat pieces in the rounds more than once.
5. All pieces must be published. Facilitated versions of the pieces are not allowed.
IV
1. The application fees are the following:

2. The amount of the registration fees refers to payment by bank transfer; in case of payment by PayPal a commission is added.
3. In case of cancellation by the candidate before the application deadline, due to any reason, the application fee will not be reimbursed.
4. In case of cancellation of one or more categories by the organization, whenever the number of applications is considered insufficient, the application fee will be fully reimbursed.
V
1. The Competition application shall include:
online application form available on the Competition's website, correctly and fully completed
photocopy of an official document indicating date of birth,
one current photograph in portait format, to be used in Competition publications (electronic version 300-1200 dpi; accepted formats - .jpg, .png)
proof of payment of the application fee into the Accademia Amadeus’s bank account (IBAN: IT32I0503459930000000004517 - SWlFT (BlC): BAPPIT21092) or PayPal account. The candidate's last and first name plus the selected category should be indicated.
2. The application and all correspondence relating to the participation in the Competition should be in Italian or English or translated into one of these languages. Failure to meet the above-mentioned requirements or to provide complete information may result in the rejection of the application.
3. The application should be filled in and submitted to the Accademia using the electronic form available on the Competition's website (in special cases, e-mail option is allowed: info@accademiaamadeus.com).
Applications should be submitted to the Accademia no later than 10 October 2025. After the application form is sent, you will receive an automatic e-mail from Google Modules with a copy of your application form for your own receipt (if not, please check your spam folder too). In case you wish or need to make changes to the application form, you can do it by yourself by clicking on the button "Modifica risposta" that will give you access to your answers and where you can make your own changes; then you will receive another Google Modules confirmation with your updated application form.
You can make changes to the application form not later than the application deadline: October 10, 2025 at 11:59pm.
4. The double application to Premio Amadeus and any of the other categories is allowed (according to the age of the contestant).
5. The First Prize Assoluto winner of Prime note, A, B, C, D, E category of the previous editions must apply to one of the superior categories or to Premio Amadeus
6. The winner of Premio Amadeus of the previous editions cannot apply again.
7. All candidates who have or had any constant teaching relationships with one or more members of the jury in the last two years prior to the start of the competition are not allowed to apply.
8. The candidate's submission of his/her Competition application will be tantamount to the candidate's acceptance of this Regulation. The notification of the acceptance of the candidate's application will mean that an agreement has been concluded between the Accademia and the candidate concerning all matters provided for in this Regulation.
VI
1. The contestants will perform in alphabetical order starting from the letter drawn by lot on 12 October 2025.
2. The candidates will be notified of the date and time of their audition by the publishing of the detailed calendar on the Competition's website by 14 October 2025.
3. The Accademia will make it possible for participants to rehearse on the piano to be used in the audition, indicating the date and time of their practice slot, as soon as they register with the Competition Office before their performance.
4. The Accademia will make practice pianos available to all participants: for Cat. Prime note, A, B, C, D and E the practice time can be booked at the Competition Office the same day of the contestant’s audition; for Premio Amadeus the practice time will be booked by the Competition Office itself, according to the scheduled audition of each contestant and will be notified to the candidate before the beginning of the Competition.
5. The Competition Director reserves the right to change the sequence of a day's performances for logistic reasons.
6. All auditions auditions will be open to the public.
VII
1. The jury is made up of internationally acclaimed musicians.
2. The jury has the right to stop the performance so far as it exceeds the established time.
3. The jury has the right not to award prizes and scholarships to contestants who do not reach the required artistic level for that prize.
4. All decisions made by the Jury will be final and not subject to appeal.
VIII
1. The candidates of IAPC are evaluated with marks in cents.
2. Each First Prize Assoluto winner with the highest mark not lower than 95 will receive a trophy, a diploma and one of the following scholarships:

3. The First Prize winners with a mark from 95 to 99 will receive a trophy and diploma
4. The Second Prize winners with a mark from 90 to 94 will receive a silver medal and diploma
5. Third Prize winners with a mark from 85 to 89 will receive a bronze medal and diploma
6. All other contestants with a mark from 70 to 84 will receive a participation diploma
7. The jury has the right to give ex-aequo prizes in all categories. In that case the scholarship will be equally split between the winners.
8. The award ceremony of the First, Second and Third Prizes of IAPC will be held at the end of the auditions of each category.
9. The candidates of PA will be evaluated with a “YES/NO” system from Preliminary to Semifinal and from Semifinal to Final Rounds.
10. The following main prizes will be awarded to the top three finalists:
First Prize € 4.000,00
Second Prize € 2.000,00
Third Prize € 1.000,00
13. The remaining two finalists of PA will receive equal distinctions of € 200,00 each.
12. The First Prize of PA is unique and indivisible.
IX
1. The official presentation of the winners of First Absolute Prizes of IAPC and the laureates of PA, special prizes and distinctions will be held on Sunday, November 09 at 5.30pm at Dogana Veneta in Lazise on occasion of the winners' concert.
On that occasion the jury will announce the Winner of the Amadeus Competition 2025.
2. All laureates will be required to appear without remuneration in the prize-winners' concert.
3. The Chair of the Competition Jury will establish the repertoire of the prize-winners' concert in consultation with the performers. The laureates will be required to perform the exact repertoire as established.
4. Any unexcused absence from the above concert will be tantamount to relinquishing the prize money.
X
1. The candidates will pay for their own travel to and from Lazise and for their own board and accommodation while in Lazise. A list of suggested hotels with discounted rates can be found on the Competition website.
2. Neither the Accademia nor the Competition will assist participants in obtaining Italian visas. On request, the Competition Office will provide a note confirming participants' acceptance into the Competition.
3. All participants should have health insurance coverage for the duration of their stay in Italy to participate in the Amadeus Competition.
XII
1. The Competition Director will make decisions on all matters exceeding the powers of the Jury. His decisions will be final and not subject to appeal.
2. The organization has the right to make changes or integrations to the present regulation.
XIII
1. In case of doubt, the Italian language version of the Regulation will be used in interpreting and clarifying their provisions.
2. Any matter not provided for in the Regulation will be subject to Italian law.
3. Any legal dispute will be settled by the Italian court of law in whose jurisdiction the registered office of the Accademia is located.
REGULATION on the use of artistic performances, interviews, statements and images of participants, as well as the processing of personal data
1. According to art. 97 of the Law about the copyright, all participant will:a) permit the Accademia to make audio and visual recordings of his/her artistic performances of works in the auditions and the prize-winners' concert and transfer to the Accademia all economic rights to these performances,b) permit the Accademia to make audio and visual recordings of his/her image, statements and interviews given during the Competition and the prize-winners' concert or relating to the Competition and the prize-winners' concert; transfer to the Accademia all property rights to these statements and interviews; permit the Accademia to disseminate his/her image recorded in connection with his/her participation in the Competition and the prize-winners' concert,c) transfer to the Accademia the exclusive, temporally and territorially unlimited right to grant permissions to exercise related copyrights on the works specified under b) above, in particular to dispose of and use adaptations of the works, including translations into foreign languages; the participant will also undertake not to take any action limiting this right in the future,d) authorise the Accademia to execute his/her personal rights with respect to the works and artistic performances mentioned under a) and b) above, and undertake not to exercise his/her personal rights in a manner that will restrict the Accademia in the exercise of its rights obtained in accordance with the provisions of this paragraph,e) permit the Accademia to use his/her artistic performances, interviews, statements and image, in full or in part, to make adaptations, abridged versions, alterations and translations, and declare that such use of them will not be deemed to damage his/her name; the participant will also grant leave to mark with his/her first and last name his/her artistic performances, statements, interviews and images specified under a) and b) above.2. The transfer and granting of the rights (including permissions), specified in Paragraph 1 above, is temporally and territorially unlimited, and covers all exploitation fields known at the time of making these Rules public, in particular:a) recording and duplicating (including storing in the memory of a computer or other device), reproducing with the use of any technology, including printing, reprography, magnetic, mechanical, optical, electronic or other recording, analogue and digital technology, in any system or format; on all media, including audio, video and audio-visual media, on paper and similar media, on light-sensitive, magnetic, optical disks, memory cubes, computers and other recording and memory media, uploading, downloading, digitalisation, using in a multimedia work,b) trading the original and its copies created in the fields of technology specified under a) above - offering for sale, licensing, leasing, renting,c) all other manners of dissemination, including:- live, simultaneous, integral broadcasts and replays, including cable and wireless radio/TV, terrestrial and satellite; making available over the lnternet (including streaming technology), in other information, cable, telecommunication and multimedia relay networks, and in other transmission systems (including simulcasting, webcasting, lPTV), uncoded and coded, in open and closed circuit relay systems, in any technology (including analogue and digital, high definition (HD), three dimensional (3D)), and in any system and format, with or without a recording mode, including text, multimedia, internet, telephone and telecommunication services, and the Video on Demand (VoD) service;- making available to the public in a way that offers every person access to the objects covered by these rights at a time and place of their choice, including by terrestrial transmitters and via satellite, by cable, telecommunication and multimedia networks, databases, servers or other devices and systems, including third parties, in open and closed circuit systems, in any technology, system and format, with or without a recording mode, including the services mentioned in i.) above, also as part of all telecommunication services using any system and device (among others, landline phones and/or mobile phones, tablets, desktop computers and/or laptops, notebooks, netbooks, etc., and relays in any available technology, e.g. GSM, UMTS, etc., via telecommunication data relay networks);- all kinds of public replaying, performing, exhibiting, displaying,d) making foreign language versions.3. The transfer and granting of the rights (including permissions) specified in this paragraph take effect as soon as the artistic performances, statements and interviews are established, and they are free-of- charge. If possible, under existing laws, the participant will relinquish his/her rights to royalties from the internet, TV and radio broadcasts of his/her artistic performances, statements or interviews mentioned in Paragraph 1 above.4. Within the scope of the rights obtained under these Rules, the lnstitute will be fully authorised to transfer these rights to others, to grant licenses and further authorisations. The participant will not be entitled to any additional remuneration arising out of this.5. According to the art. 13 and 14 of GDPR – Regulation UE 2016/679 about copyright – the data provided on the application will be used exclusively to send information about the Competition excluding any other use.6. The Accademia declines any responsibility for whatever damage to people and/or things of all kinds during the Competition.
